For us, Shamba-La is state of mind attainable through daily spiritual practices. Through cultivating compassion, peace and service; we create harmonious relationships with others. The transformative power of Shamba -La can enter our everyday lives. In this spirit, Shamba-La is the mystical yet heavenly universe we create on this earth; coexisting in its essence.
Shamba-La was started as a family-run hotel to host monks, saints and guests from all over the world. Inaugurated on 14th October, 2010 with the blessings of his eminence – the 8th Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche; we have come far with the grace and blessings of our spiritual gurus and valued guests. Each moment; we strive to recreate paradise for our esteemed guests.
We are a family of meditators, spiritual practitioners, and people who believe that human beings are intrinsically good. We bring together people from all walks of life; to be kind to ourselves and others. We are committed to creating a sacred space; celebrating each other’s life journey and root ourselves in a society that brings out the best in us .

Our Vision
Shamba-La’s vision is rooted in the principle that every human being has a fundamental nature of basic goodness. This nature can be brought into daily life so that it radiates out to family, friends, community, and society.
In this time of great difficulty for ourselves, society, and the planet, the Shamba-La teachings can help us show up with fearlessness and gentleness, to meet the challenges brought on by intense materialism and aggression.
At the heart of our spiritual path are the Shamba-La teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. The Shamba-La teachings draw from these and other wisdom traditions.
Attuned to the essence of Prajna Paramita Sutra – the key to the Anahata Chakra; we open our hearts for every soul that arrives at our abode. We embody this spirit in our daily life; radiating love, compassion and service as practices to our guests and the community as a whole.
